This gradual decline of testosterone can begin in men as young as 30 and reports show that half of men over the age of 50 may be affected by andropause; although some may not have been tested or seek treatment.
Signs of Andropause
With the decrease in testosterone levels, men may start to experience a decrease in strength, muscle mass, sex drive, and urinary function. Sexual performance and a man’s fertility may also be affected. During andropause, men may be more prone to more serious conditions such as prostate and bladder cancers. Mood swings and hot flashes can also be a part of the male menopause--but they’ll get no sympathy from women for this.
